Aggressive investor – the problems you run into most

With many trades, it’s easy to lose the big picture. Most people who invest actively and short term know these situations.

  • After dozens of sales, I don’t know which of them actually made money after costs.

Closed positions show every sale’s result with the FIFO cost basis, fees and exchange rate differences shown separately.

  • I hold WIG20 futures, but my portfolio doesn’t show their exposure or the blocked margin.

FundStat supports GPW futures with long and short positions, multipliers, exposure and margin based on your broker’s rate.

  • I see my account balance, but not how much the portfolio made or lost since yesterday.

Daily P&L shows each day’s result across all accounts and splits it into position price changes and exchange rates. The calculation docs explain how it works.

  • I have a loss from last year and don’t know how much I can deduct this year.

The annual summary tracks losses from the last 5 years and shows how much you deduct this year and how much is left for later.

Aggressive investor – frequently asked questions

The FIFO method assumes you sell the shares you bought first. The cost of the sold shares is their purchase price plus commission, and the profit is the difference between the sale proceeds and that cost. FundStat applies FIFO to every sale and shows which purchase lots the shares came from.

An active portfolio – every trade fully accounted for

An active strategy makes sense when you know what actually makes money. FundStat calculates the result of every sale and contract, shows daily P&L and checks whether your portfolio beats the index.
